Liza Horan: Head Trainer & Manager
With nearly 20 years of professional experience, Liza Horan is an accomplished and highly respected equestrian professional. Recognized early on for her talents, Liza began her career working with top riders / trainers such as David and Karen O'Connor, Bruce Davidson, Phillip Dutton, Aaron Vale, Patty Stovel and Robert Dover. She was invited to participate in USET Developing Rider Training Session in 1997, 2000, and 2004. As a rider, trainer and competitor, Liza has competed with great success on numerous horses to the CCI*** level, and 1m45 Show Jumping. As a coach, Liza has prepared many riders from just learning the sport of eventing to competing successfully at the CCI** level and beyond. Liza was also the assistant coach for the Area II NAYRC team. She was a mentor to many YR's on that team who have gone on to be very successful professionals and CCI**** competitors. Liza has also enjoyed great success as a sales agent and sourced horses enjoyed immensely by their riders and earn numerous wins and top placings at the Championship level. Liza is a "B" Level Graduate of Bay Hills Pony Club. She is known in the industry to be a beautiful rider, and highly discerning in her selection of horses to compete and sell. Jenny Browne: Assistant to the Trainer & Facility Manager
Under the guidance of mentor and trainer Liza Horan, Jenny owns and operates her family's Ironwood Ranch. Still at the beginning of her horseman's journey, Jenny is committed to developing her skills in all realms of the equestrian industry.
After graduating from the University of California Santa Barbara Jenny has turned to horses full time and has embraced the opportunities that have come her way to ride a variety of horses from ponies, to young horses, and seasoned competition horses. Jenny has competed through CCI3* eventing and 1.20 show jumping along with holding her USDF Bronze medal. Jenny is grateful for the foundation of support that has fostered her riding, management, and operational skills thus far and is excited for what the future holds. |
